What's New?

Greetings, Penguins!

Allow me to welcome you, to our very first Penguin of the Bi-Week!

This penguin has been around for a long time. Like, forever. They’ve been there for everything. Even before the island publicly opened. So, dedication is clearly at play here. Community activity is second nature, they’ll always pop in to see what’s happening and new. We are very pleased that this penguin, someone very close to Penguin World, will be our very first Penguin of the Bi-Week!

Congratulations, FallenEMZ! The pengs’ at Penguin World are very pleased for you to be our first Penguin of the Bi-Week, for your frequent game and community activity, and overall dedication to our island. You’ve been with us for a while now, and it was only about time we treated you to something nice. You have now secured your very own flippers on brand new, shiny, and pointy Green Viking helmet. But not only that, you are the first to receive 10,000 coins, on Gary. Gary is paying for it. Thanks, Gary.

So, how does one become Penguin of the Bi-Week? We look for penguins who help others around the island, report misbehaving penguins, and are active within the community. Oh, and don’t forget a sassy outfit!

Until next time, Penguins. Waddle On!

Greetings, Penguins!

As you probably noticed, there was no Penguin of the Week this previous Monday,

This was no mistake, penguins.

You’ve read the title, please allow me to introduce: Penguin of the Bi-Week!

Penguin of the “Bi” Week? Huh?

That’s correct. Penguin of the Bi-Week is a new, bi-weekly penguin-rewarding experiment that comes with some new perks that are described in this blog-post. Penguin of the Bi-Week, will be scheduled for every two weeks, instead of every Monday. “Bi” means two, if you didn’t know!

Okay, cool. Penguin of the Bi-Week. But why?

A week isn’t a very large amount of time. In order to properly and securely choose a Penguin of the Week, the Penguin World team needs to verify that any qualifying penguins are truly the best we can choose. Unfortunately for new users, or users that can’t be active all the time, this can be a struggle to qualify. A two week period however, gives users double the amount of time before each Penguin of the Week is picked, so new penguins who may potentially qualify can be noticed and monitored! It’s a pity to see a qualified penguin fall out of the qualification right before Monday.

Is Penguin of the Bi-Week permanent?

Nope! Penguin of the Bi-Week is a temporary experiment. How long we continue with this update will be based off of community activity and most importantly, community feedback.

Alrighty, I get the picture. Anything else?

You think I’d just leave you on a name change, and double the wait for Penguin of the Week?

Here’s something you might enjoy:

That’s right. The prize coin amount has been increased to 10,000 coins. Thankfully, Gary is very generous and is letting us borrow his profits straight from the Gift Shop coin vault. We’ll pay him back. I think…

Well penguins, that’s all for now. Penguin of the Bi-Week will be beginning this Monday! The preppy penguins at Penguin World are trying our flippers at something new, so pretty PLEASE let us know your thoughts on Penguin of the Bi-Week on our official Penguin World social media profiles, the comments on this blog-post below, or our support email at support@penguinworld.co.

Until next time, Waddle On!

The twentieth Penguin of the Week, in 2020. Now that’s cool.

But,

Not as cool as our Penguin of the Week.

Whoever chooses Penguin of the Week must be out of their penguin mind. How? How could they not pick this penguin sooner? Why has this penguin NOT been chosen yet? Every requirement. Every day.

This penguin is helpful, active, friendly, trusting, understanding, blah, blah, blah. We’ve been doing this 20 weeks now penguins, if you’re here, you’re a star. This penguin, faced with the dangers of their surroundings, watching the skies of their own REAL island turn from blue to grey. Families are displaced, property is destroyed. Through all this, this penguin always makes time for community and activity. There are no words to describe a person like that. Except absolutely-totally stupendous. There’s some words.  On the lighter side, this penguin shares some fantastic, albeit subjective, music tastes with the penguin writing this. Always a great sport, the life of the party, and the ling- (*cough*) I mean- the light to a penguin’s day.

Lingling, you are here rewarded today for your bravery, honesty, charity, and activity. Above all, you’re there. Beside the virtual items you shall receive, the penguin behind the screen is what truly makes Penguin of the Week so special. Thanks for sticking by our island, but it’s time to help YOUR island.

Hey Penguins,
Our final party for 2019 has officially dropped! The island’s been coated with snow, so don’t miss the opportunity to throw snowballs at your buddies when they steal the seat at the Coffee Shop closest to the fireplace (though don’t throw snowballs inside the building!).

Penguins at the Coffee Shop

As the year comes to an end, gather all your buddies and sit by the fireplace and talk about some key moments you’ve had in 2019 and what you’re expecting next in 2020!

Penguin Skating on Penguin World

Once you’ve had some time with your buddies to catch up with what they’ve been up to this year, go run a fashion competition or have some fun and go Ice Skating in the Docks. There should be plenty to do in the Holiday Party both on your own and with your buddies. Though, the experience is always a thousand times better when you do it with your buddies.

Thank you for playing Penguin World and we hope you consider to support us as we progress into a new year. Let us know what you think of the Holiday Party and how we can improve in the comments, our Discord Server or on Twitter.

Happy Holidays!
